How does the high glare value (UGR) of lamps affect our lives?

The the glare value(UGR) of the lamp is too high will bring the disadvantages as follows:
- Strong glare will make factory and warehouse workers visual fatigue, which will reduce work efficiency and increase the probability of production accidents.
- Strong glare will make athletes feel uncomfortable during the game, resulting in multiple shadows, affecting the level of competition/results.
- Strong glare can make it impossible for people in precision instrument factories, automobile factories, etc., to see small scratches and/or color differences.
- Strong glare will make people in shopping malls, exhibition centers, airports and other places feel visually uncomfortable and unsafe.
- And so on
So from the lighting level, what can we do to solve this problem?
The simplest and most direct way is, of course, to reduce the glare value(UGR) of the lamp.
FYT designed and developed our innovative low UGR round high bay HB79 low glare model specifically to solve the above mentioned problem of excessive glare value.
Normal LED high bay (left) is usually with UGR<30, when we look directly at the eyes, we can see a very strong light, which makes people have a strong sense of discomfort.
FYT special low UGR LED high bay (right) is with UGR<22, by comparison, it can be seen that the light of this lamp is gathered together, and there is no strong peripheral light to stimulate people’s sight.
How do we achieve low glare?
After rigorous testing, our engineers decided to add an optically specially designed electroplated honey comb reflector inside the lamp housing. In this way, the light can be gathered to the maximum extent, and the light does not overflow, so that it is not easy to make people feel visual discomfort.
